Searchlight Pictures has finally released the full Nightmare Alley trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s forthcoming noir thriller, which boasts a star-studded ensemble cast led by Bradley Cooper as Stanton Carlisle. The video begins with a self-proclaimed medium as he gets questioned for the validity of his abilities. It teases how his manipulation and past will soon haunt him once he displeases the right people.
The film is currently slated to make its debut in theaters on December 17, pitting it against a high-profile competitor in the form of Sony and Marvel Studios’ long-awaited Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Based on William Lindsay Gresham’s novel of the same name, Nightmare Alley follows an ambitious young carny with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist who is even more dangerous than he is.
Joining Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper (A Star is Born) as Stanton Carlisle are multi-award winning-actresses Cate Blanchett (The Aviator) as Dr. Lilith Ritter, Toni Collette (Hereditary) as Zeena, Rooney Mara (Carol) as Molly along with Oscar-nominee Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse) as Clem Hoately, Ron Perlman (Hellboy) as Bruno, Mark Povinelli (Water for Elephants), David Strathairn (Billions) as Pete, Richard Jenkins (The Shape of Water) as Ezra and Holt McCallany (Mindhunter) as Anderson.
